Marriage

Marriage

Getting married is the single most significant event in the lives of most parishioners. Marriage is a call to build a partnership of life together. It becomes the central focus of life through which everything and everyone else is viewed and related to. Because this is such a significant event, engaged couples are invited to participate in a six-month period of prayer and reflection prior to their marriage.

As part of this preparation, couples are asked to meet with the Pastor for Marriage preparation Sessions. Couples will also meet with our parish Director of Liturgy to plan the Marriage Ceremony. Engaged couples need to contact the Pastor before any wedding date is set and to allow for a six-month period of preparation. For more information and/or to begin preparations for celebrating your marriage contact  Fr. Gene Schroeder (812-499-9074)  gschoreder@evdio.org.
