Educating the youth of our parish has been at the heart of St. Joseph Parish since its beginnings in 1941. This initially began with children gathering in the church to learn the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic. That effort took a giant step forward in 1974 when a new school was built. Under the tutelage of the Sisters of St. Francis in Oldenburg, decades of children were educated in the ways of Christ. Over the years, much has changed. New buildings, new teachers, and a growing use of technology have become instrumental in the daily education of our students.
We offer a fully accredited Catholic education for children of all faiths. We provide a superior education in a secure, stimulating, faith-based environment that encourages the spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical development of each individual child. What has remained the same is a commitment to seeing Christ as the center of all that we do. Likewise, what remains is the challenge given to our students: "enter to learn, go forth to serve."
